A design-inspired fit out.
Our new purpose-built, Amspec head office was designed by us for us. Every element of the build has been meticulously designed, considered and fitted by our in-house team, which allowed us to showcase the latest trends in office interior design and innovation. We wanted to demonstrate the changing face of the workplace, merging the boundaries between the different areas by making the space more flexible.
Treating ourselves as the client, the starting point was to establish everything that we wanted and needed from the space, including;
- Welcoming meet and greet area
- Light spacious open plan work space
- Bigger onsite workshop
- Paint room
- Creative design area
- Private office space
- Meeting rooms
- Informal refreshment and meeting area
- Plenty of storage space
One of our key objectives was to encourage and support the collaborative style of working favoured at Amspec, the main working areas comprise open work spaces. Throughout the open space we have included exposed wood, moss panels and green planters to create a feeling of space, light, clean air and wellness.
Visitors are met by our state-of-the-art video screen, welcoming seating area, and dedicated ambient lighting with several meeting rooms of different sizes to accommodate various types of meetings, all complete with an eclectic mix of seating. In our main high spec boardroom is a Clever Touch touchscreen and an expansive Nanotech table, surrounded by upholstered chairs, each pad in a striking fabric.
Our more intimate meeting room, hidden behind a concealed door, features a trio of chairs, one of which is upholstered in vintage leather.
The flooring throughout the premises was carefully considered using Wigan based Milliken floor covering, as well as Tarkett flooring, the first flooring of it's type fitted in the UK.
“Amspec’s relocation to Kilshaw Street gave us the opportunity to apply our design thinking to creating a space that truly encompasses our values.”
