Amspec Limited - Wigan have grown over the last 22 years into one of the most capable and exciting Design & Build enterprises in the Northwest, currently operating in 4 key sectors: -

  • Public Sector
  • Specialist and Bespoke (our Specialist and Bespoke service involves the Design and Manufacture of fitted and loose Joinery products).

We have a fantastic opportunity to develop a Key Operative Team within the Business.

(To work predominantly  on our Construction Sites in Manchester). 

Looking to recruit in the following roles:

  • General Key Operatives
  • Multi Skilled Operatives
  • Lead Operative / Supervisor

For all above roles, you should have at least 4 years Construction Site experience.  A valid CSCS Card is essential and any Construction related qualifications are an advantage but not essential as training on mandatory courses will be provided. 

You must be physically fit as these roles can be manually intense, general labouring, manoeuvring lots of different types of Construction materials.  You should be reliable, punctual, follow instructions, able to work to tight deadlines, able to work unaided at times and always ensuring Health & Safety is adhered to at all times.  You must be a team player with a desire to work collaboratively together to benefit from your collective efforts!

A driving license is essential for the Lead Operative / Supervisor role and is a positive should any Key Operatives or Multi Skilled staff have a license too, however not a necessity as lifts will be provided to / from Sites in Manchester (you must be able to get to and from the pickup point - our Head office in Pemberton).

Competitive rates of pay negotiable dependent upon experience and any other Construction related qualifications.  The hours of work are 40 per week, 07.30am – 4.00pm Monday to Friday (with a 45-minute lunch break. Overtime is paid at time and half after 40hrs worked during the week and on Saturdays, Sundays are paid @ double time. We offer 21 days plus Statutory Bank Holidays per annum and a Company pension scheme with Royal London.
