Fire Doors
At Amspec, safety and compliance are at the core of everything we do. We are proud to be Certifire accredited for the manufacture of fire doors and FIRAS accredited for their installation, giving you complete confidence in the performance and safety of our fire door solutions.
We follow strict manufacturing processes and submit our products to independent audits under the Warrington Fire Certifire scheme, ensuring they meet the highest standards and are fully fit for purpose.
As a FIRAS certified installer, every fire door we manufacture and fit is 100% compliant, as verified by a UKAS-accredited third-party body.
All fire compliance is meticulously recorded using the Bolster Systems digital platform, so you get full traceability, accountability, and peace of mind.

Inhouse FIRAS Accredited Supervisor
All timber fire-rated door installations are managed by our FIRAS-accredited supervisor, ensuring full compliance from survey to certification.
At the start of each project, a detailed site survey is carried out and each fire door location is logged on Bolster with photos and a checklist. This data defines the project’s requirements and ensures accurate tracking.
The supervisor coordinates with our in-house manufacturing team to begin production. Once complete, installation is carried out by FIRAS-accredited technicians under close supervision.
A final inspection is completed using a checklist aligned with the FIRAS scheme and British Standards, including BS 8214. A FIRAS certificate and full Bolster report are then issued to the client, providing a complete record of specifications, materials, installation dates and inspections. This forms a key part of the ‘Golden Thread’ required under the Building Safety Act, ensuring full traceability and compliance.

Certifire accredited to manufacture timber fire doors
We have a dedicated team of skilled bench hand joiners who are fully trained and assessed under the Certifire scheme to manufacture FD30, FD30/S, FD60 and FD60/S timber fire doors. This ensures that all doors are built to the highest industry standards for fire safety and performance.
To further enhance our expertise, our team also participates in the BWF Introduction to Fire Doors training. This training strengthens their understanding of fire door regulations and best practices. Additionally, we conduct manufacturers' training on fire door components and products to ensure every element is correctly specified and fitted.
We have implemented robust management procedures, including detailed production worksheets, non-conformity reports and final inspection records. This ensures full traceability and quality control throughout the manufacturing process.
Our fire door manufacturing area is specifically designated to maintain the correct storage and conditions for fire-rated components, such as seals, which are stored flat to preserve their integrity.
FIRAS-Certified Timber Fire Door Installation, Maintenance and Repair
We are FIRAS-accredited for the maintenance and repair of existing timber fire doors, enabling us to carry out compliant works that align with current fire strategies and safety requirements.
Our process begins with early engagement. When a client makes an enquiry, we hold an initial meeting to review the available records, including the building’s fire strategy and fire strategy drawings. This early-stage liaison is crucial to ensure the project meets all necessary criteria.
Our team assesses the condition of each fire door on site using the Bolster system. We photograph every door and complete a detailed checklist to document its status and identify the scope of maintenance or repair required.
Our ability to maintain or repair a fire door is dependent on the quality and availability of existing information. Without accurate records or a clear fire strategy, it may not be possible to confirm compliance or carry out certified repairs. We work closely with clients to establish what information is available before any work begins
